marine organism-environment interaction
Carrick is working towards his M.S. in the Avian Science graduate group. Prior to coming to UC Davis, Carrick received his bachelor's degree in biology from Drake University. For the few years in between, he's worked on various projects around the country from the Florida Keys to a remote camp in Alaska. His interests lie largely in field biology, focusing on behavioral and ecological interactions in birds and other wildlife.
Education
BS Biology; Drake University (2012)
Research Interests
I hope to study attributes of Tricolored Blackbirds that may influence their colonial behavior. The intended focus will be comparative ectoparasite loads between habitats and potentially different Icterid species.
